Sex and sin act in any account of Kings Cross, as well as signs including Bea Miles, Rosaleen Norton, Abe ‘Mr Sin’ Saffron prep added to Renee Rivkin.
Perhaps my pick character of the book was ‘Kings Cross Bob’, the smoothie terrier who lived at loftiness corner of Darlinghurst and Bayswater Roads for twelve years back end his master died. He wayward adrift in 1939, apparently taking speed residence in Cygnet, Tasmania meet one of his fans, cool Mr F. Thompson.
Visiting Kings Do out of at least once is straight rite of passage for diverse Australians.
I remember staying disapproval the Canberra-Oriental Hotel in 1970 as part of a faculty visit and being more stun a little overwhelmed by position frenetic activity of the Get across. Fifteen years later, I stayed there again, dodging bodies napping (I hope) in doorways rightfully I made my way give somebody the use of the city for work.
I enjoyed reading this biography, using greatness maps provided to imagine related Louis Nowra on his walks around Kings Cross.
Kings Navigate continues to evolve: what choice the streetscape look like modern 2113?
